Start us off with an overview of the space. You might have to line up outside, but that's been part of the Schwartz's experience ever since it opened in in the Plateau. Pass the time ogling the briskets, the whole smoked turkeys, and the karnatzels—long, thin dried beef sausages—in the window, or just people-watch on one of the busiest strips of town.
Schwartz's is the quintessential Jewish deli, with understated, neon-lit lunch-counter-style decor—expect to share a table with strangers—a memorabilia-lined wall, and a long bar with round stools so you can watch the butchers in action.
